A mum said she is "immensely proud" after her son won a national writing competition.
Harley Creighton, 10, from Southport, took first place in the 10-11-year-old category of The Young Author Award beating thousands of other competitors for the top prize.
Drawing inspiration from his literary hero Roald Dahl, Harley's work titled "The Boy Who Flew Around The World in One Day" follows a boy who visits some well-known landmarks and unites people on a mission to bring him back down to the ground. His mum Rachel said he gets his "vivid" imagination from making up stories in the car together.

Speaking to the ECHO she said: "We both come up with stories in the car and his imagination is just amazing and the competition was a chance for him to do it and when I read it I could not believe what he had come up with. He probably does get it off me to be fair but he is so creative and if he does get it off me he is already so much better. I still can't believe he won."
The initiative by Atom Learning was created to recognise and reward young writers. Rachel said when Harley was told the good news in school his year six class started "cheering and asking for his autograph".
For winning the competition Harley bagged an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland Paris for four and a £2,500 cheque for his school Norwood Primary. And, far from resting on the laurels of his success, Harley is already planning his next story.
Rachel, 31, said: "It has always been his dream to go Disneyland and wanted to go the very first day he found out he had won but I still need to get him a passport. He is really excited. I do it too. We all delve into a world to escape something and the imagination is a great thing to use. I just want to see him keep writing but he is already coming up with his next story."
