Need to do some research before you buy?
When do the Boxing Day and January sales end?
The January sales traditionally start on 1st January, but a lot of retailers now start their deals much earlier, kicking off with pre-Christmas discounts that last until just before Christmas, into Boxing Day deals.
Traditionally, January sales last the whole month until 31st January, meaning you don’t have to rush to bag a bargain.
What can you buy in Boxing Day and January sales?
Perhaps the most obvious thing to shop for less in the Boxing Day sales is Christmas decor. Anything seasonal that a retailer has failed to sell by the end of the festive season is likely to be massively discounted. So, as long as you have storage space, the Boxing Day and January sales offer a great opportunity to save on next year's decor. Consider stocking up on half-price baubles, Christmas lights, or investing in one of the best artificial Christmas trees for less.
Christmas gifting will also often be on sale – we are talking about everything from bath and body gift sets to game consoles and toys.
