Dave Allen has undergone a remarkable three-stone transformation ahead of his ring return next month.
Allen is one of the most popular heavyweights on the domestic scene and has shared the ring with the likes of Dillian Whyte, David Price and Tony Yoka. The 'White Rhino' announced his decision to retire from boxing at the age of 28 in 2020 after beating Dorian Darch.
However he made a comeback a year later and will now fight in his third outing since taking his time away from the ring in a remarkable retirement U-turn. Ahead of his next test, which will take place on February 18 in Sheffield, Allen has posted the difference in his appearance after a three-stone weight loss.
Allen posted an image of himself with a significantly bulkier physique, alongside a picture of himself now showing off a more ripped frame. He captioned the post: "Big changes made to end 2022, massive 2023 coming up." Fans were stunned by his progress, with one writing: "You can easy make cruiserweight now. Great effort that buddy. Always appreciate how open you try to be about your journey."
Another agreed: "Love to see you at cruiser. However I’ll be happy just to see you out again in good shape." One fan even suggested he was rolling back the years, writing: "As you've lost weight, you're looking a lot healthier, even younger. Great to see you in this shape & looking forward to seeing you back in the ring next year."
One fan even proposed he fight potential bridgerweight star Alen Babic, writing: "Dave smashes Babic inside three rounds in this shape." A final fan agreed: "Go on Dave son. I hope you get to fight that Babic and also think you beat Wardley too."

Allen could look to return to a higher level if he is to continue his comeback and is certainly showing his determination to climb back to his previous heights. There will likely be several fights the Doncaster native can take including a potential clash with newly crowned British champion Wardley.
Another high-profile opportunity could come against Babic with the pair having previously talked up a clash. And Allen believes he has what it takes to become the first man to derail the undefeated record of the rugged Croatian. He said: " I would love to box him, I think he's great. I think he's a great character, a nice person and a very exciting boxer. I do think I'd beat him.
"If I'm looking after Alen Babic, I'm not in a rush to fight Oscar Rivas. I don't think that ends very well at all for him. That's not me being negative towards him, I'd love him to beat Rivas... So, if I was looking after Babic, I'd rather box me than him. There's a long list of people who I'd rather box than Oscar Rivas."
