Karl Brooks’ final season at Bowling Green was impressive, compiling 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks from the defensive interior. The biggest question was if he could take the jump in competition and so far at the Senior Bowl, he has shown he is up to the task. It’s just two practice days but he has shown his strength, and a bull rush is every bit as productive with a jump in competition.
Coming in a little bigger than expected at 303 pounds he is explosive and is a sneaky good athlete for his size. He has such violent and heavy hands and he has put them on display in Mobile. There is still a long way to go for Brooks in the draft process but the early results this week show teams need to have an eye on him with thoughts toward April.
