Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund donations have passed $2 million since the rock singer's death, giving his name a lasting role in medical research. The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is privately funded, with income from annual events and direct support from fans worldwide. Its money backs scientific institutions and their research, alongside education work aimed at cancer, from early detection and prevention through to treatment. Based in Studio City, California, the charity directs gifts of every size, from ticket sales to direct online donations, towards a single purpose, better tools for finding and treating cancer.
