Bournemouth XI vs Nottingham Forest predicted as both teams could make same decision

Nottingham Forest face what is one of their biggest games in the last few years as they aim to take advantage in the race for automatic promotion at the end of the season.

The Reds travel to Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium knowing that a win will put them into second place in the table ahead of the weekend’s final game of the season. A loss would see the hopes of a top-two finish vanish into thin air, while a draw would again take matters to the final day, although Bournemouth would then have matters in their own hands.

Both managers face decisions on their line-up for the game. Steve Cooper chose to select a side that was unchanged at the weekend, naming the same side that came out as 1-0 winners over league leaders Fulham.

The side repaid his faith with an impressive 5-1 win over Swansea City on Saturday afternoon to set up the clash vs the Cherries. That could mean that Cooper may again opt for the same XI for the midweek trip to the South coast.

Bournemouth also came out as winners at the weekend, putting three past Blackburn in a 3-0 away victory. According to DorsetLive ’s predicted XI, It could be the case that manager Scott Parker also selects an unchanged side from their last outing.

Dominic Solanke and Philip Billing (x2) were both on the scoresheet against Rovers and are both likely to be included in the line-up again on Tuesday. Solanke could line up in a front three with Ryan Christie and Jaidon Anthony, meaning Parker will have the likes of Siriki Dembele, Kieffer Moore and Jamal Lowe to call on from the bench.

The Cherries are likely to line up in a 4-3-3 formation with Liverpool loanee Nat Phillips playing alongside Lloyd Kelly in defence. Billing could play alongside Jefferson Lerma and Lewis Cook in a midfield three, meaning there will be no place for Norwich City loanee Todd Cantwell.

DorsetLive’s predicted XI (4-3-3) : Travers; Smith, Phillips, Kelly, Zemura; Cook, Lerma, Billing; Christie, Solanke, Anthony
