Large sections of the Arsenal fanbase have poked fun at Manchester City for dropping points against Nottingham Forest in the race for the Premier League title. With a game in hand, the Gunners lead the reigning champions by two-points after Pep Guardiola's side conceded a late equaliser on the banks of the River Trent.
Brennan Johnson left Rodri in his wake before Morgan Gibbs-White was slotted in-behind. The 23-year-old then fizzed a delivery across the six-yard box, finding Chris Wood at the back-post, unmarked, to claw back a point.
City failed to capitalise on a number of guilt-edged opportunities — namely, Erling Haaland — which they have been left to rue. Guardiola would have been desperate to build upon the fresh momentum generated from the midweek win over Arsenal but, following late strikes from Jorginho and Gabriel Martinelli, the pendulum has sung back in the Gunners' favour.
