The Boston Celtics hoped to get back to win streaking after their first consecutive losses of the NBA’s 2023-24 season were broken up by a win over the Brooklyn Nets the night prior, and on Saturday night vs. the Toronto Raptors, the Celtics took care of business to win the game 117-94.
A close affair in the game’s first quarter, Boston broke it open early in the second and never looked back, their lead increasing as the tilt went on. Led by Jaylen Brown’s 29 points, the Celtics held the Raps to just 38.5% from the field and 27.1% from deep on a night they shot 54.7% overall. It didn’t hurt that Boston won the rebounding battle by 9 boards as they improved to 7-2 for the season.
