The Boston Celtics dug deep to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime on Wednesday, and early in their tilt vs. the Milwaukee Bucks, it showed with the Celtics coming out slow and unfocused to fall behind as much as 9 points in the first quarter.
That, unfortunately, was about as good as it got for Boston, who fell into a near-historic deficit at halftime in a game they trailed by as much as 43 points in and never led. Clearly exhausted by their hard-fought win the game before, the Celtics threw the towel at halftime in the interest of rest and let the bench mob get in reps.
Of the starters, only Jaylen Brown scored in double digits, putting up 10 points and 4 boards before he was pulled.

Of the reserves, Payton Pritchard led the Celtics with 21 points, and Sam Hauser added 15. Oshae Brissett chipped in 13 points, and if you know where to find those memory eraser things from “Men In Black,” please let us know.
