Boston College QB Thomas Castellanos ran into a referee and got absolutely flattened

Usually when teams talk about having to play against the referees, they’re only referring to penalties. Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos had to take on the refs literally and, well, he couldn’t keep up with the competition.

With BC facing a tough test on Saturday, having to play a stout Army team in a soggy West Point environment, Castellanos was going to have to make plays happen with his legs.

On a designed QB run early in the second quarter, he attempted to do just that and wound up running across the middle of the field and straight into the umpire, who lowered the shoulder with tremendous results.

Take notes, Jimbo Fisher.

In Castellanos defense, it looks absolutely miserable out there and it can’t be easy to get any traction on the turf. On the other hand — BC’s strength and conditioning coach has probably never been more excited to chime in during a film review.
