If there was a shot more clutch than the last-second tip-in that kept the Boston Celtics from falling to the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals made by point guard Derrick White, one would have to think quite long and hard about it to come up with a comparable example.
But the Celtics were certainly no stranger to such plays in the 2022-23 regular season and the 2023 postseason that followed it, garnering them a spot in the NBA’s official “Most clutch sequences from the 2022-23 NBA season” highlight video released earlier this summer — and for good reason.
