A boss left an employee with a brain injury in a drunken city centre attack.
The victim had started working as a plasterer for Romas Kvedys two days before the attack and on June 23 last year a number of work colleagues went out drinking in Newcastle. Just after 9pm they were on Blackett Street and were both drunk and started arguing.
Omar Ahmad, prosecuting, told Newcastle Crown Court: "That escalated to the defendant assaulting the complainant. He was pushed against a wall, punched two times to the head then punched a third time, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. He then appears to kick him on the ground."
