Borna Barisic admits this season has been a major letdown for Rangers as he targets their only hope of silverware by retaining the Scottish Cup.
The Croatian says the Ibrox side have been nowhere near the levels of last season when they went all the way to the Europa League Final. Barisic was part of Michael Beale's side who crashed to another defeat to Celtic at the weekend and now surely only have the Scottish Cup left to avoid a trophyless season - they face the Hoops in another Old Firm derby in the semi-final later this month at Hampden.
Last season, Barisic helped his side embark on a terrific European run that saw them get to the final in Seville to the final where they lost in a penalty shoot-out to Eintracht Frankfurt. And Barisic, in an interview in Croatia, accepts Rangers have not repeated last season's standards, as he enters into the final year of his contract next term.
