Boris Johnson under fire for 'horrific' comment in final speech as Prime Minister

Boris Johnson came under fire for a comment he made in his last speech as Prime Minister.

Mr Johnson bid farewell in his final address outside No.10 as Liz Truss prepares to announce her new Cabinet. The MP for South West Norfolk beat former Chancellor Rishi Sunak in the vote of Conservative Party members yesterday.

After winning with 81,326 votes to Mr Sunak's 60,399, she will be appointed as Prime Minister today. Mr Johnson celebrated his tenure before he issued a message of support to his successor in his address at Downing Street this morning.
