Prime Minister Boris Johnson is preparing to give a statement today, during which he is expected to announce his resignation after more than 50 Tories quit the government over the last few days, including Cabinet ministers and aides.
However, the disgraced leader will remain at Number 10 until a successor is in place.
But some are clearly seen to see him gone and replaced much sooner - as an amusing sign put up at Madame Tussauds might indicate.
Madame Tussauds in London have updated their Downing Street display and added a 'VACANCY' sign on the front door of Number 10.

The sign has been placed near the waxwork of Boris Johnson and several amusing snaps of the smiling figure and the sign have been captured.
In the photos, the PM looks as if he is smiling at the 'VACANCY'.
As well as poking fun at the current Downing Street situation, Madame Tussauds have also confirmed that Boris Johnson's figure will be removed from the Baker Street attraction at the point he is no longer Prime Minister.
A leadership contest will be held following the resignation to choose a new Conservative Party leader and a new Prime Minister.
However, Boris Johnson may stay on as a 'caretaker' until a successor is in place.
It is thought this might not be until the time of the Conservative Party conference which is due to take place in October.
This previously happened in 2019, when Theresa May resigned as Tory Leader, but remained on as a 'caretaker' Prime Minister until a replacement was chosen.
The next general election is scheduled for January 2025, but a new leader could trigger this earlier if they wanted to secure a personal mandate.
