Boris Johnson has doled out honours to cronies and Partygate aides, including a gong for a top civil servant who told staff to "bring your own booze" to a No10 event during lockdown.
The shamed ex-Prime Minister handed a knighthood to Jacob Rees-Mogg, a Damehood to Priti Patel and a string of accolades to officials who were at the centre of lockdown-busting bashes in Downing Street.
Labour branded it a "sickening insult" that people caught up in the Partygate scandal had been handed gongs.
Mr Johnson's long-delayed resignation honours list appears to have been slashed in size after reports he wanted to nominate dozens of pals.
His staunch supporter Nadine Dorries and his dad Stanley Johnson miss out on peerages after reports they were on course for the House of Lords.
Instead, the shamed ex-PM handed peerages to former London mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey and Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen and a handful of No10 aides.
In extraordinary scenes, Downing Street aide Martin Reynolds, who told No10 staff to 'bring their own booze' to a lockdown bash in Downing Street has been handed a gong.
Mr Reynolds, dubbed “Party Marty” in Whitehall, was Mr Johnson's principal private secretary during the pandemic and sent the infamous “bring-your-own booze” email invitation to staffers.
Sent on May 20, 2020, it had the subject line "Socially Distanced Drinks! [OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE-No 10 ONLY]", and said: "After what has been an incredibly busy period we thought it would be nice to make the most of the lovely weather and have some socially distanced drinks in the No 10 garden this evening.
"Please join us from 6pm and bring your own booze."
Yet Mr Johnson made him a Companion of the Bath - a 298-year-old order of chivalry.
Long-time ally Conor Burns, who famously tried to defend Mr Johnson over his lockdown birthday bash by saying he was "ambushed with a cake", has been given a knighthood.
There was also a CBE for former Downing Street communications chief Jack Doyle.
When the Mirror began investigating Partygate, he sent a message to a colleague saying: “Just be robust and they’ll get bored.”
Former No10 aide Henry Cook also becomes a CBE.
He is at the centre of the Government's standoff with the Covid Inquiry over access to unredacted WhatsApp messages sent between ministers and officials at the height of the pandemic.
Another comms boss, Guto Harri, who on his first day in No10 sang I Will Survive with Mr Johnson as they discussed a crisis engulfing the then PM, also becomes a CBE.
Former Housing Secretary Simon Clarke and backbencher stalwart Michael Fabricant have been given knighthoods, along with Tory co-chairman Ben Elliot.
Former minister Andrea Jenkyns, who was caught on camera sticking her middle finger up at anti-Johnson protesters on his final day in office, has also been made a dame.
Mr Johnson has also given damehoods to ex-Chief Whip Amanda Milling, his former personal assistant Ann Sindall, and his former head of operations at No10, Shelley Williams-Walker.
Ms Williams-Walker was allegedly nicknamed 'DJ SWW' after playing tunes from a laptop during a No10 party on the eve of Prince Philip's funeral.
The long-time parliamentary hairdresser Kelly Jo Dodge was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire,
The honours list unleashed a furious backlash.
Labour’s deputy leader Angela Rayner accused the Tories of “spending their time doling out rewards for those who tried to cover up rule-breaking and toadied to a disgraced former Prime Minister”.
She added: “It’s a sickening insult that those who planned Covid parties and held boozy lockdown bashes while families were unable to mourn loved ones are now set to be handed gongs by Rishi Sunak.
“As Boris Johnson faces yet more allegations and investigations about his conduct, the privilege of an honours list is spectacularly ill-judged and wholly undeserved.
“It’s shameful that Rishi Sunak has failed to stand up to his former boss’s outrageous demands and agreed to hand out prizes to this carousel of cronies.”
A formerly loyal Boris Johnson aide said the list was an “utter disgrace”.
They said: “It’s rewards for failure all round.
“Boris has slammed the door shut on the prospect of any return to the frontline of British politics and trashed what remained of his legacy.”
Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper said: “Boris Johnson has been allowed to hand out gongs to his partygate pals, and Rishi Sunak has just waved it through.
“We’ve gone from the lavender list to the catalogue of cronies. This is corruption pure and simple.”
Downing Street sought to distance Rishi Sunak from the list.
"He had no involvement or input into the approved list," the Prime Minister's press secretary said.
It comes as Mr Johnson awaits the verdict of the Commons Privileges Committee into whether he lied to MPs over Partygate.
He could be suspended from the Commons - and even face a by-election - if he is found to have misled Parliament.
The ex-PM has reportedly been handed the committee's report and has two weeks to respond to the findings.
Separately, he is also facing a fresh police investigation after officials handed over evidence of potential rule breaking to cops that Mr Johnson had submitted to the Covid inquiry.
