Boris Johnson’s fresh partygate trauma after resignation of ethics adviser

Boris Johnson’s bid to move on from partygate was dealt a fresh blow by the resignation of his ethics adviser after he said it is “reasonable” to suggest the Prime Minister broke the ministerial code.

Lord Geidt became the second ministerial interests adviser to resign during the Prime Minister’s three years in office when a brief statement was published on Wednesday evening.
