Boris Johnson told the House of Commons that he will publish the Sue Gray report "immediately" and "in full" after being questioned by a Conservative MP.
Speaking during Prime Minister's Questions, Mr Johnson was asked by Forest of Dean MP Mark Harper for "a commitment at the despatch box" to publish her findings.
A update on her report was published last week, redacted because of the ongoing Metropolitan Police inquiry surrounding allegations of lockdown-busting parties in Downing Street.
Mr Harper, a Gloucestershire-based MP, asked during PMQs: “I’m only asking this question because I asked the Prime Minister last week and I didn’t get a straight answer.
“It’s important because it’s about those who make the law obeying the law.
“The Prime Minister wants to be judged on the facts and that’s right. So can I ask him to commit at the despatch box that upon conclusion of the Metropolitan Police investigation, will he ensure that Sue Gray’s final report is published immediately and in full?”
Mr Johnson replied: “With great respect to (him), I do believe I answered that… but I’ll repeat, for the benefit of the House, that as soon as all the inquiries are concluded I will immediately publish in full whatever Sue Gray gives me.”
During PMQs, Mr Johnson signalled the ending of legal restrictions surrounding Covid and faced fresh allegations surrounding a picture appearing to show Mr Johnson near an open bottle of sparking wine during a Christmas Quiz.
Labour MP and shadow minister Fabian Hamilton said the image appeared to show “one of the Christmas parties he told us never happened”, adding: “Will the Prime Minister be referring this party to the police as it is not one of the ones currently being investigated?”
Mr Johnson responded: “In what he has just said, I’m afraid he is completely in error.”
