The Prime Minister is visiting north Wales today as questions over his future continue.
He is joining Welsh secretary Simon Hart on his trip today to "see levelling up in action", his spokesman said.
There is no still no confirmation Downing Street has been sent the Cabinet Office report compiled by Sue Gray into parties and events held at Downing Street during lockdown and no certainty when it will be published.
Legal and human resources officials are understood to be scrutinising it before it can be sent to Downing Street for publication. And Mr Johnson was photographed this morning leaving No.10 for north Wales, where he is expected to arrive mid morning.
The Prime Minister is committed to making a Commons statement after receiving the report, but as he is in north Wales this morning and the House is due to finish sitting at 5pm on Thursday and no Government business scheduled on Friday that could push the timing of any address to MPs into next week.

On Tuesday, Met Police Commissioner Cressida Dick told the London Assembly her force had launched a criminal investigation into eight events where lockdown rules were allegedly broken, as a result of information provided by the Cabinet Office.
She said: “As a result, firstly, of the information provided by the Cabinet Office inquiry team, and, secondly, my own officers’ assessment, I can confirm that the Met is now investigating a number of events that took place at Downing Street and Whitehall in the last two years in relation to potential breaches of Covid-19 regulations.”
There was then some suggestion that the Cabinet Office report would only be able to be cover the events not being looked at by the police, but the Met denied that, saying it could be released in full. The latest suggestions are that there is now wrangling between police and government lawyers, as well as trade unions, over what details can be made public, with some hints the report could now take until next week to be made public.
Mr Johnson has also come under fire this week for an email which suggests he personally approved the evacuation of animals and personnel from the Nowzad charity, something he had, and his staff continue to, deny.
