Boris Becker is expected to be moved to a low-security prison and serve just half of his sentence.
The German tennis legend, 54, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years last week for bankruptcy fraud.
He is being held in tough Wandsworth Prison in South West London, but will reportedly move to a lower security prison for the majority of the term.
He may serve only 10 months if officials decide to release him halfway through.
The father of four would spend the remainder wearing an electronic tag as his offending was non-violent.
His love child has vowed to stand by the six-time Grand Slam winner, and said she will visit him in jail “whenever I can”.
Daughter Anna Ermakova, 22, born after Becker’s liaison with a Russian model in a restaurant broom cupboard, said she was “shocked” to see him jailed.
The model expressed her concern for her half-brother Amadeus, 12, and said she wrote to the court asking for leniency for his sake.
She told German TV: “It’s not fair. It’s going to be tough.”
Becker was jailed for hiding £2.5m in assets and loans when declared bankrupt owing almost £50m in 2017.
