Borderlands 4 isn't quite a live service game, but its endgame does heavily revolve around a weekly schedule. This weekly update rotates endgame content, shifts the location of Maurice's Black Market vending machine, and is often when Gearbox reveals and releases key patch notes.
With this in mind, the weekly update is an important date to keep track of, whether you're just entering the endgame or perfecting your builds with a shopping list of gear. Below, I'll go over what's available this week and any major changes so you don't miss out.
Borderlands 4 weekly update

Each week in Borderlands 4, the Big Encore boss, Wildcard Mission, and Black Market vending machine activities change. Since these are endgame activities, you'll have to have completed the campaign before you can access them. These changes go live at the weekly reset time, which is every Thursday at 9 am Pacific.
Here's what's active this week from April 9 to April 16:
- Big Encore boss: Mimicron, who is found in the Tipping Point order bunker in the Idolator's Noose area of the Fadefields region. It has the chance of dropping the Luty Madlad legendary SMG, Complex Root legendary sniper rifle, and UAV legendary grenade.
- Wildcard Mission: Savage Salvage with the Leaking, Healthy, and Ticking modifiers, and a guaranteed drop of the legendary Stop Gap sniper rifle, a Vladof brand weapon.
- Maurice's Black Market vending machine: Underground in the Lictor's Black Site POI. This is in the Windspear area in the northeaster part of the Terminus Range region. Start from The Nightcap safehouse fast travel point, then head west, taking a left when you find yourself blocked from going any further west. Grapple your way up and around this path, enter the Lictor's Black Site building, and drop down to find more enemies. If the door down here is closed, you'll need to grapple the battery over to the door in order to access the vending machine inside.
The Stop Gap sniper rifle has the Reconfigure special effect, meaning that fire rate decreases down to 20% when firing, but damage increases up to 750%. It also looks pretty sweet too, with a lovely purple and gold coloring.

Latest Borderlands 4 patch notes

This minor update really is minor, as there's only one inclusion for the Borderlands 4 patch notes this week (April 9 - April 16):
- Increased the combat experience from killing Badass enemies and Bosses
Last week's Borderlands 4 patch notes

After the previous massive update, last week's minor one really only included an update to C4SH's Vampiric Touch Card, and Nightmare Rift Boss activities being visible on the map. Here are the full patch notes for last week in Borderlands 4 (April 2 - April 9):
- C4SH, the Rogue - Updated the Vampiric Touch Card granted by the Bet on Red Augment to automatically kill non-Badass enemies on impact as intended
- Nightmare Rift Bosses are now visible on the ECHO menu map to help you spot those activities
- Addressed a reported crash that could occur when loading into specific areas of The Whispering Glacier
- Addressed variables in some languages on C4SH's skill tree to make them easier to read
