NEW DELHI: Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has backed Cameron Bancroft for a Test recall, recommending the 31-year-old to open the innings in the forthcoming five-match series against India.

Bancroft may have a chance to be called up to the Test team for the crucial Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against India, which begins in Perth on November 22, due to all-rounder Cameron Green's lower back stress fracture injury.
