BORA hansgrohe is a cycling professional team from Germany that was established two decades ago. The team was founded and managed by Ralph Denk, sponsored by two companies BORA, a German manufacturer of extractor hoods and cooktop with Hansgrohe a bathroom fittings manufacturer.
BORA boss Ralph achieved a great deal after he signed a contract with a Slovenian superstar Primoz Roglic, the young superstar’s cycling career took off when he was 23 years after his ski jumping career, he is among the top stars in the international cycling games. Roglic has won 80 races in his career which includes the Vuelta de España (in Spain) three times and in this year’s Giro d’Italia (in Italy). He has also won countless victories and stage tours in Grand tours, in 2021 he was crowned Olympic Champion in the individual time trial.
The Alpine Ski World cup is a winter game that competitors ski downhill on a mountain covered with snow, they skiers accumulate points over three event of the match that include down hill, slalom and giant slalom. This year the game is expected to take place in Sölden Austria on 28 and 29th October. Sölden has the highest mountain’s peak higher than three thousand meters.
BORA team is scheduled to go for an annual camp a week earlier before the world cup kicks off. “We are destination partners for the German professional cycling team and will give the entire team a proper welcome. All new athletes will meet their colleagues at the team camp and in addition to a ski trip, the team will get to know each other better during several team building activities,” said Oliver Schwarz the managing Director of Austria Tourism. “We are very much looking forward to Primoz Roglic who will certainly cut a fine on the ski slopes,” said Oliver.
The valley offers a variety of sporting events and activities throughout the year for instance 6 ski areas which has a total of 363 slope kilometers and 90 meters (295.28 feet) high. The Alpine world cup events begin with fireworks every year, other scheduled events will be Electric Mountain Festival from April 5th – 12 in 2024 and Hannibal -The Glacier Spectacle will start on 5th April 2024. A second Alpine Ski World Cup race will be held on 18th November in Otztal.
