A popular £2 concealer is proving to be a huge hit with Boots shoppers - and has even been compared to luxury brand Estée Lauder.
Boots is much-loved among makeup and skincare fans thanks to its wide range of luxury and budget-friendly beauty brands, as well as its own line of popular products.
Last month, Boots announced the surprise return of 17 - a beauty favourite known for inspiring confidence and empowering self-expression with trend-led, affordable beauty for over 50 years.
The new 17 collection continues this legacy, celebrating every kind of beauty with day-to-day essentials like skin-enhancing foundation, neutral lip colours, translucent setting powders to cosmetics for experimentation, including powerful pigmented eye sticks, bold liquid liners and lip-boosting glosses.
But, there’s one product from the range which seems to have caught the attention of many, and that’s 17’s Second Skin Enhancing Concealer - with it already racking up a string of five star reviews online.
The budget-friendly concealer is dermatologically tested and described online as a "highly pigmented concealer enhanced with a mineral mix complex, which perfectly masks imperfections and blends in seamlessly for a velvety skin-finish".
Boots shoppers seemed to agree with the product description with many leaving rave reviews online.
One shopper, describing the concealer as ‘unreal’ said: “ I can't believe how good this Concealer is! I usually use a brand that's £17 a pop and I never thought I'd find a rival, however this £2 beauty is it! Great applicator, lovely consistency, no creases and really brightens my eye area as much as my usual one! It's a firm 10/10 for me!“
A second, who compared the concealer to her usual luxury option said: "I just tried this concealer and l am very happy with it... This is easy to blend, the consistency is creamy and just right. Also it didn’t make the fine lines around my eyes look obvious as some concealers can make you look “caked up” instead of concealed but this also covered the dark rings under my eyes! It wasn’t heavily scented. All in all a very nice, effective product worthy of its 5 stars! Works as good as my Estée Lauder at a fraction of the price!! 10/10!"
