Boots issue urgent recall for popular Christmas present with ‘risk of burns’

BOOTS has issued an urgent recall and warning over a Christmas gift set that could burn customers.

It comes as the Radley Cosy Up Mug and Sock Set was recalled following concerns the mug may crack and break when used.

Boots are telling customers who have bought the set to not use it over warnings that if the mug breaks it can spill hot drinks and burn.

Now, the retailer is urging customers to return the Radley gift set as soon as they can.

Boots issues recall for Christmas gift set

The Radley Cosy Up gift set has the barcode 5016155273331, with the set containing a pair of ribbed socks and a ceramic mug.

Boots shared that the affected gift sets were sold between August 30 and December 6 2024.

Issuing the recall, a Boots spokesperson said: “We have been informed of a potential safety issue with the mug in this set. In some instances, the base of the mug is cracking and separating when in use, therefore, this product is being recalled.

“The safety and well-being of our customers is very important to us so we’re asking that you stop using the mug and return it to your nearest Boots store at your earliest convenience for a full refund.

“If you’ve bought this product for someone else, it’s important that you let them know about this as soon as possible.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.”
