Booming Edinburgh cake and ice cream shop announces second store coming soon

A popular Edinburgh Italian gelateria and dessert shop has announced that a second store within the capital is opening soon, serving up some of their popular sweet dishes.

Proving to be popular additions to the city, a sharp rise in dessert parlours in recent years has filled a gap in the market that was vacant pre-pandemic. Now, Bon Bon, who have a store on Elm Row, took to Instagram to tease the opening of a second location.

And what better location to choose than Stockbridge, one of the capital's busiest and thriving areas, where they will face some fierce competition in the form of fellow food and drink businesses attracting a lot of custom with the popular neighbourhood market taking place every weekend.

Although an exact location within Stockbridge has not been announced by the team, they said it was "coming soon" and confirmed in the comment section that their flagship store on Elm Row will remain open, with the business being popular enough to expand within Edinburgh.

Serving up homemade Italian gelato for those with a sweet tooth to dine-in or takeaway, Bon Bon's ice cream, milkshakes, cakes and waffles have proved a hit with the locals, and with the country experiencing a blistering, albeit late, summer, the team have picked a great time to announce the arrival of a second store.

The team also deliver to postcodes across the city via Just Eat, making sure that nobody is left out when Saturday night comes along and the thought of a sweet treat is beckoning. It remains to be confirmed whether they will offer a delivery service with their new Stockbridge location.
