Ohio State football has started off its 2025 class a bit slower than other national powers, but it’s starting to heat up.
On Saturday, Texas 5-star cornerback Devin Sanchez committed to the Buckeyes over Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and others. The 6-foot, 2-inch, 170-pound elite defender is ranked as the No. 2 player at his position and 6th overall prospect in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
This commitment has been a long time coming, as Sanchez has long been connected with the Buckeyes and has a great relationship with secondary coach Tim Walton. His mother has praised his future position coach multiple times on social media.

Sanchez is the fifth commitment for the Buckeyes in the 2025 class, and is currently ranked as the highest one. He’s an elite prospect that will give Ohio State another option in the secondary after a great haul in the 2024 class. BIA is officially back.
