The Ohio State football program got its defensive end with a very big BOOM! on Tuesday evening with the commitment of 5-star defensive lineman, Eddrick Houston.
Out of Buford, Georgia, Houston is rated as the No. 4 defensive lineman at 28th overall prospect in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He announced his decision to play is college football at OSU over other finalists, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and USC.
Make no mistake; after missing out on a few big-time prospects, and a couple of notable ones on the defensive line, getting a pledge from one of the best defensive ends in the recruiting cycle is a huge one.
Houston’s commitment is the 22nd recruit in what is shaping up to be one whale of a 2024 class, one that bolsters the No. 2 overall haul in the country.

It’s been an up and down cycle for Ohio State, but it’s hard to argue with the finished product if all of these verbal commitments do indeed seal the deal and end up signing on the dotted line.
