A weekend visit to Columbus was enough to convince Akron Hoban linebacker Eli Lee that he wanted to play for Ohio State Football.
The junior, who stands 6 feet, 3 inches and weighs 215 pounds, obtained the offer he wanted and didn’t need to wait for other schools to join the hunt. Lee is ranked on the 247Sports composite as the No. 36 player at his position and the 380th overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.
Ahead of his visit, he had four other schools offer a scholarship, but the one he received earlier this month seemingly was the only one Lee needed.

Lee becomes the fourth commit of the class, along with quarterback Tavien St. Clair, cornerback Blake Woodby and wide receiver Jayvan Boggs. Aside from St. Clair, each of the other three commits have been during this month.
