Bookies are reporting suffering one of their worst ever Mondays for racing results after 11 of 14 favourites won on the afternoon cards.
Hexham and Ludlow were the only two meetings on Monday afternoon across Ireland and the UK, with the first five favourites winning at Hexham before the last two lost, while every market leader bar one triumphed at Ludlow.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny said: “It has been relentless. Okay, it’s only a Monday with Hexham and Ludlow racing, but in some ways that’s possibly made it even worse. With just two meetings for punters to focus on, and the majority of favourites winning, we can’t recall such a tough start to the week.
