Boohoo launches dupes for TikTok viral Fenty highlighter sticks

Boohoo has launched an affordable make-up kit staple, just in time for summer where make-up fans have been obsessing over how to create the ultimate sun kissed makeup look.

The fast fashion retailer has reported the crave for glowy, natural makeup is unsurprising seeing that the trend during the hottest season of the year has increased by 78 per cent in the last month alone.

What has certainly helped cultivate the sensation, Fenty’s Match Stix Glow Skinstick, has made its rounds across TikTok- which has been raved to provide “a glow like no other”, as well as an ideal choice for those who want ‘glass skin’.

Boohoo has also stated that since the products’ launch, demand for a dupe has risen by 119% in the last year, to which the online brand has stepped up for the task.

As part of Boohoo’s latest release in their beauty range, Boohoo’s beauty highlighter stick is currently priced at £3, after being reduced from £6- while also being £20 less than the Fenty original.

While the Fenty Match Stix costs £23, the Skinstick has been deemed as the go-to finishing touch for all skin tones, as the Fenty website states that leaves a “a touch of pearly iridescence for a subtle glow without glitter or sparkle”.

Meanwhile the Boohoo dupe comes in two shades (champagne and bronze) for a dewy makeup appearance, as influencers online have also been noted to experiment with the products.

The latest videos see users attempt to incorporate the Boohoo beauty range into their daily make-up routine, which has been fronted by Boohoo ambassadors who sported looks using only Boohoo Beauty.

In other Boohoo related news, the online brand is among the businesses listed for an investigation over ‘sustainability’ claims’, according to competition watchdog, the Competition and Markets Authority.

Asos, Boohoo and George at Asda will be examined over claims regarding the eco-friendliness of their products- which include clothing, footwear and accessories.

Concerns that the watchdog have pointed out consist of the use of vague language to insinuate that the companies do partake in greener actions, as well as being said to use recycled materials in new clothing releases with little or no information.

The watchdog has stated that if the firms are found to have made misleading statements, they will not hesitate to take action. On the other hand, the companies under investigation have said that they are committed to providing accurate information.
