Bonnie Blue's Baby Receives Bizarre Name After Auction Ends: 'A Stranger Gets To Name It' for £1.2m

Bonnie Blue claims a £1.2 million auction led to the baby name BetBolt, but key details remain unconfirmed (Credit: @StarPlatinum_ / X)

Bonnie Blue said in an Instagram video on Tuesday that her child would be named BetBolt after what she described as a £1.2 million winning bid in a baby name auction.

The adult content creator announced the auction last week, telling followers that 'a stranger' would be allowed to name her child.

The stunt asked people to find a promotional vehicle, scan a QR code and submit a proposed name with a bid.

Bonnie Blue Baby Auction Claim Centres on Betbolt Name

'My auction's finished and for £1.2 million, my baby is called BetBolt,' Blue said in the video. 'I'm going to be shouting at BetBolt across the playground.'

The name matches BetBolt, a crypto gambling website. No confirmed evidence shows the site's operator submitted the winning bid, approved the name, or played any direct role in the auction.

Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, said she was unsure whether to contact the company. She also suggested she did not know what involvement, if any, BetBolt might want in the child's life.

The 27-year-old said she had an appointment at a register office to make the name official. IBTimes UK cannot independently verify whether the name has been registered, whether the £1.2 million payment has been completed or who submitted the winning bid.

That lack of independent confirmation means the claim should be treated as Blue's account unless payment records, registration documents or a statement from BetBolt emerge.

In England and Wales, births generally must be registered within 42 days, though the legal acceptance of any specific name would be a matter for the registration process.

Blue appeared to anticipate criticism in the video, including accusations that the auction was 'disgusting' or 'rage bait.'

'Those that say this is disgusting or this is rage bait, wouldn't you for £1.2 million rename your kid?' she said. 'Cause I know I would.' She also made a sexually explicit remark linking the alleged payment to her adult-content career.

Bonnie Blue Baby Auction Raises Privacy Questions

The auction follows a series of publicity-driven stunts that have made Blue a frequent subject of online criticism.

In the original announcement, she framed the auction with the line: 'A stranger got me pregnant, and now a stranger gets to name it.'

The phrase drew attention because it placed the child's identity at the centre of a commercial stunt. It has also renewed questions about privacy, consent and how far online creators should go when bringing children into monetised personal branding.

Blue said in the latest video that she was '£1.2 million up' and looking forward to spending the money. She then added, provocatively, that 'maybe' the money was meant to be spent on the child.

The adult content creator previously claimed she became pregnant after what she called a 'breeding mission' involving unprotected sex with about 400 men. Previous reports said she gave birth by C-section earlier in September.

Blue has also claimed to have taken part in an earlier filmed adult-content event involving 1,057 men over 12 hours.

The latest update is best understood as Blue's claim in a social media video, rather than a fully verified transaction or legal name change.

The confirmed facts remain narrower than the reaction around them: Blue said the auction ended, claimed the winning amount was £1.2 million and announced BetBolt as the chosen name.

Whether the name is legally accepted, whether BetBolt responds and whether the promised money changes hands have not been confirmed.
