BOMB squads descended on a house in Airdrie after chemicals were found inside.
Police were called to the property on Glenacre Road in Plains at around 10pm on Friday November 24 after the chemicals were discovered.
The explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) unit were called to the scene to dispose of the chemicals safely.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) also sent a hazmat support to the scene.
Officers said there was no wider threat to the public.
The Daily Record reports police have been stationed at the front and back doors of the house in the days following the find.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of chemicals found in a property at Goldenacre Place in Plains, Airdrie during the evening of Friday, November 24, 2023.
"Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended to safely dispose of the chemicals. There was no risk to the wider public. Enquiries are ongoing."
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 10.06pm on Friday, November 24 to assist emergency service partners at Goldenacre Place, Airdrie.
"Operations Control mobilised a hazmat support unit to attend the address on request."
