But today presents an opportunity to start another one and they take on the Wombles at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Wanderers sit 10th in the League One table and eight points from the play-offs as things stand and they will be hoping to have made a dent in that gap today to keep their aim of being in the top six by the end of the campaign alive.
And for the clash this afternoon, Evatt has opted to make four changes from the side which lost to the Brewers in midweek.
After the loss to Burton, James Trafford continues as goalkeeper, while Gethin Jones has returned to the back three in place of Will Aimson alongside Ricardo Almeida Santos and George Johnston.
Marlon Fossey and Declan John could line up once again as wing-backs.
In central midfield, Kyle Dempsey continues in the engine room, while Aaron Morley comes back in to the trio and Dapo Afolayan comes in and is expected to be the number 10.
And upfront, Dion Charles has returned as the strike partnership in place of Amadou Bakayoko and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson keeps his place alongside him.
On the bench this afternoon for Wanderers are MJ Williams, Amadou Bakayoko, Xavier Amaechi, Will Aimson, Kieran Sadlier, George Thomason and Alex Baptiste.
