A heating expert has urged people to check their boilers before April to avoid any steep costs, and says one sign in particular shows yours might well be on the way out. The UK's cold snap is forecast to return in April, with snow, ice, and freezing temperatures said to be on the horizon.
Unfortunately, cold snaps can and do result in issues such as frozen pipes, which could well see you paying out steep emergency repair fees of more than £3,000.
Due to the unseasonably chilly weather, it's expected that many Brits will keep their heating on beyond the recommended ‘turn-off’ date of March 26, at which point they'd usually carry out a boiler MOT to check for any damage caused over the winter months.
