Bogtui killings: Bomb unit finds explosives near accused’s house

KOLKATA: Fresh tension gripped Bogtui in Birbhum’s Rampurhat on Sunday morning after the bomb disposal squad defused bombs found near the home of Palash Sheikh, one of the accused in panchayat leader Bhadu Sheikh’s murder. Nearly 20 bombs were found inside a large bucket in a ditch near Palash’s house.

Bomb squad members, in bomb disposal suits, reached the spot and confirmed presence of explosives, later retrieving and defusing the bombs. Wary villagers gathered near the site.
