Bodybuilder calls woman out for attempting to shame man’s gym workout routine

A bodybuilder has gone viral after criticising a woman who mocked a fellow gymgoers workout routine.

TikTok bodybuilder and coach Joey Swoll (@thejoeyswoll) posted a clip of a woman’s TikTok in which she pointed out a man in the background of one of her videos.

The man that user @nikkii_fitness was referring to was lifting dumbells behind her.

She pointed at the man and said: “What do you think he’s doing? What do you think he’s working? I don’t know either.”

In a video that has now gone viral and been viewed over 12.6 million times, Joey called out the woman and explained the man was doing a legitimate weight lifting move.

He explained: “What he’s working is biceps. He’s doing what’s called a drag curl. Now, granted, most people do them with a barbell – he’s doing them with dumbells so it may look a little strange, a little awkward.”

Joey went on to explain how the movement works the biceps and explained that bodybuilder Charles Glass, who he claims is “one the best there is”, is a big proponent of that particular lift.

But, he went on to say that what that man was doing best was minding his own business.

Joey continued: “But what’s most important, what he’s doing and working most of all is minding his own business [sic].

“The fact that people at the gym take videos of other people to try and make fun of them blows my mind. Be better than that.”

This is hardly the first gym story to go viral on TikTok in the past few days. Earlier this week a woman became a huge talking point after she thanked a man for not staring at her while she did a squat workout right in front of him.
