Body of woman found in camper van in Scots car park as cops probe death

The body of a woman was found inside a camper van in a car park in Fife. The grim discovery was made shortly before 2pm on Monday, September 12 when emergency services were called to Coxstool carpark in the village of West Wemyss.

The body of a 56-year-old female was found within the vehicle. Police are probing the unexplained death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.50pm on Monday, 12 September, we were called to Coxstool carpark, West Wemyss, after a body was found.

“Officers attended and the body of a 56-year-old woman was found within a camper van.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
