The body of a newborn baby has been discovered on a shoreline in Wales, police said.

Searches are ongoing to try and trace the mother of the infant, who was found by a member of the public near the Siliwen Road area in Bangor shortly before 5pm on Sunday, a North Wales Police spokesman said.
