Body of man in his 40s found in house

The body of a man in his 40s was found in a house in Old Swan.

Police were called to Ennismore Road on Friday, May 13 after a man died suddenly. Officers were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service at around 9am following reports that the body of a man in his 40s had been found.

Police attended and the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are at a house on Ennismore Road, Old Swan, this morning (Friday 13 May) following the sudden death of a man.

"Police were contacted by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) at around 9am following reports that the body of a man in his 40s had been found. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious. The man has been formally identified and his next of kin are in the process of being contacted. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
