The body of a man has been discovered during the ongoing search for missing person Peter Doherty.
The discovery was made in the Greenhill Road area of Paisley at around 12.40pm today.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Peter's family has been informed.
The 53-year-old was reported missing from the Govan area of Glasgow and was last seen on Love Street in Paisley on Monday, April 25.
Police Scotland confirmed the discovery this evening.

A statement from the force reads: "We can confirm the body of a man was found in the Greenhill Road area of Paisley, around 12.40pm today.
"Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Peter Doherty, who was reported missing from Govan, has been made aware.
"The death is being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
