Body of man found in Edinburgh after sudden death

A man's body has been found in Edinburgh after his sudden death yesterday.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to the scene on Lampacre Road in the city's Corstorphine area at around 5.50pm on Thursday, February 24.

Witnesses also reported seeing three ambulances and two police cars at the location that evening following the discovery.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances following the death of the 67-year-old, Police Scotland confirmed to the Daily Record.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.50pm on Thursday, 24 February, officers were called to the sudden death of a 67-year-old man on Lampacre Road, Edinburgh.

"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
