The body of a man has been found near a major Scots road.
Mercy crews including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance and Rescue Service raced to the A81 at Strathblane around 4pm this afternoon.
The alarm was initially raised regarding concern for a person.
Responders arrived but a 64-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say they are currently treating the death as unexplained but do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Sun: “We were made aware of concern for a person on the A81 at Strathblane, around 3.50pm on Friday 29 April.
“Emergency services attended and a 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
