Police say the family of missing 60-year-old Fiona Thomson have been informed after the body of a woman was found on an East Lothian beach on Thursday morning.
Officers say that although formal identification is yet to take place, the family of Fiona, reported missing from the Dalgety Bay area on Monday night, have been informed of the discovery.
Emergency services attended Gullane Beach around 7.50am on Thursday, December 15, after officers were made aware of the body of a woman being found at the popular area.

They added that there are thought to be no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police previously put out an appeal for information in their efforts to trace Fiona, who is understood to have links to Edinburgh and Midlothian.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.50 am on Thursday, 15 December, 2022, officers were made aware of the body of a woman being found on the beach at Gullane.
"Although formal identification has yet to take place, the family of Fiona Thomson, 60, who was reported missing from Dalgety Bay, have been informed.
"There are thought to no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
