Body found on Balbriggan beach prompts major Garda probe as public urged not to share images

Garda Balbriggan An Garda Síochána Gardai

Gardai have launched an investigation after the discovery of a body in Balbriggan on Thursday.

It is understood that the deceased male was found on Bower Beach on April 20 and the circumstances of his death are unknown at this point.

Images of the deceased have reportedly been circulating on social media, and gardai have asked the public to refrain from sharing these upsetting pictures.
