A BODY has been found in a wooded area in North Lanarkshire following the search for a missing Aberdeen man.
Police said they discovered the body of a man at around 10.15am on Friday in a wooded area near Forest Road, in Cumbernauld.
Officers said that formal identification has still to take place, but the family of Robert Miller, who was reported missing from the Seaton area of Aberdeen, has been informed.
The 59-year-old had last been seen on the evening of Sunday, July 5, near Charing Cross Station in the Glasgow area.
Police said the death is not believed to be suspicious and that a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15am on Friday, 17 July, 2026, police discovered a man’s body in a wooded area near Forest Road, Cumbernauld.
“Formal identification has still to take place, however the family of Robert Miller, 59, who was reported missing from the Seaton area of Aberdeen have been informed.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
