The body of a man has been found in the search for missing Lanarkshire local Jamie Reid.
Yesterday at around 5pm, the discovery was made in East Kilbride close to Queensway.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of Jamie Reid have been informed.
On June 24, around 11 p.m., the 44-year-old was seen in Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride, and since then, police have made numerous attempts to locate him.
The last known sighting of the man from the Burnbank area of Hamilton was at a soup kitchen on Beckford Street on June 26.
His disappearance was described as "very out of character" by his "worried" family, with Inspector Gail Nicol from Hamilton Police Station previously pleading for information on Jamie's whereabouts as he required weekly medication, which he did not have access to.
Police Scotland has said that there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
