Body found in search for missing Dundee woman Lynn McPaul

Police searching for missing Dundee woman Lynn McPaul have confirmed a body has been discovered in woodland.

The grim discovery was made in a patch of woodland close to Ninewells Hospital on Saturday 12 March.

Officers said that while formal identification is yet to take place, the 45-year-old’s family has been informed.

The site is less than three miles from where Lynn was last seen on the Perth Road at 11.40pm on Sunday 23 January.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said today: “Around 3pm on Saturday, March 12, the body of a woman was found in woodland near to George Pirie Way, Dundee.

“Formal identification is still to take place, however, the family of missing person Lynn McPaul has been made aware.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
