A body has been found in the search for a missing Hamilton man.
Stephen McGinley was last seen at around 5am on Thursday when he left his home in the Quarter area of the town driving a blue, BMW Mini. At 4pm that same day police revealed that a body of a man was found in the Devonburn Road area of Lesmahagow.
Formal identification is yet to take place but Stephen's family have been informed. The death is being treated as unexplained but, at this stage, officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Lanarkshire Police Division spokesperson said: The body of a man was found in the Devonburn Road area of Lesmahagow at around 4pm on Thursday, July 14. Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Stephen McGinily, 51, who was reported missing from the Quarter area of Hamilton, has been made aware.
"The death is being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
