Bodo/Glimt get Celtic wake up call before Europa Conference League clash as furious manager reads the riot act

Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen has pointed the finger at some of his stars ahead of next Thursday's clash with Celtic.

And defender Alfons Sampsted has labelled them "sloppy" after a friendly win over Elfsborg.

The Norwegian side travel to Glasgow next week for the first leg of their Europa Conference League last-32 tie with the Hoops before the return leg in Bodo a week later.

Ange Postecoglou 's men come into the tie 26 games deep into the Premiership season and top of the league after Wednesday's fixtures. But it's a different story for Bodo who are just now ramping up their pre-season preparations.

They beat Swedish side Elsborg 3-2 on Thursday but only after throwing away a two-goal lead in the second half.

And agitated boss Knutsen says his side will have to up their game if they are to stand any chance at Celtic Park.

He told the club's website : "I have received answers to some things and some individual players have given me answers, but it is not at the level I expected today. When we have structure, we look good, and it is why we lose the structure we have to look more at.

"That can not happen when we come out at Celtic Park next Thursday.

"It will be a completely different match and a completely different framework, now we will work well in the coming week and prepare for a team we have watched a lot. We are looking forward to two games against a big club.

"We must be at our highest level from the first to the last minute. When we are at our best, everyone is involved and does their best. When we are not, we fall through pretty quickly."

Meanwhile defender Alfons Sampsted echoed those sentiments as he criticised a "sloppy" performance.

He's demanded his teammates stand up and show some "attitude" ahead of a huge Conference League tie.

He said: "I think we are a bit sloppy in our principles. We do not run enough metres, I do not know if it is because we are tired or what. The ideas today were good, but the execution was a bit sloppy and lacking focus.

"I do not know if it is mentality, that we feel that we have scored and then we calm down a bit. We lack a bit of 'attitude'. We have to get into the duels and win them."
